Student Activities
At Your Service . . . . .Read Some Yummy Books Today!!!
Our Scholastic Book Fair Feb. 2-5th. Family Night is Feb. 2nd, from 5-6:30, the Recorder Concert is at 5:00 pm, Magic Stallion Choir 6:00 pm. Come join us for fun books and music. Wear your fifties, diner attire, or book character for a chance to win a prize.
Student Council Service Activities
Student Council thanks parents and students for their participation in the
following community service projects.
We collected 269 jeans for the jean drive in October. This will heat 1/2 a house through Habitat for Humanity.
November we collected food for Care and Share
Care and Share thanks you for the

Turkeys 6 (we purchased these from the proceeds from the snack shack).
In December we are making ornaments for the residents of Senior Center.
December, we are having a BOOK EXCHANGE. Students may bring 5 gently used books during the first 2 weeks of December and students will be selecting their books the last week of December.
In January, we are having a gently used toy drive. If you are tired of too many toys, bring them in and we will donate them to a shelter.
We are also collecting 2 yards of fleece to make blankets for cancer patients. Please send in any extra fleece to the Media Center for this project.

School Day 8:00-3:10
The school day begins at 8:00 am and ends at 3:10 pm. Students may be on the playground at 7:50, when teachers are scheduled for recess duty.
In the event of inclement weather, the red flag will be displayed in the windows of the outside doors. When students see a red flag, they should proceed to the following rooms.

Spirit Day on Friday
Friday is Spirit Day. Every Friday we will be wearing Green and White or Highland Park T-shirts. We will be adding other spirit ideas to wear.
We are also encouraging students to wear their HP t-shirts on Wednesdays.
